Our Story

When our paths crossed on both Hinge and Coffee Meets Bagel, the universe was definitely making sure we did not miss each other. From that first spark online to our very first date at Hai Di Lao hot pot in Fremont, what started as a simple match turned out to be the connection we had both been waiting half a lifetime to find. We found a best friend who understood us without saying too much—and became two chatty Virgo-Libra cusp souls, curious, giggling, and learning about each other.
Our story is built on the quiet moments of showing up for each other every single day, from early morning calls before work to five-hour phone calls at night. It is in the comfort of long car rides to LA and Sacramento, flights all over, and late-night laughs—then ending the night resting peacefully on your chest after a long day.
We found such a grounding balance in one another, like two puzzle pieces coming together to create true harmony. Through every season, living apart and living together, family gatherings, hard conversations, and joyful milestones, our bond has only grown stronger and deeper. What started as matching on two separate apps brought us all the way to a magical evening under the lights at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant, where we made a promise for a lifetime. We are two imperfect people learning, healing, and growing together, totally ready for every chapter of this beautiful adventure ahead.

Who made the first move—and how?
Anthony asked Phoe out with flowers, chocolate, and little gifts and made the first move.
Who takes out the trash?
Whoever’s house it is! Anthony is closest to the trash, though. :)
Are you two perfect for each other?
Perfect? Absolutely not. We are two wonderfully imperfect humans who frustrate each other, laugh at each other, and still choose to snuggle up on the couch and bed at the end of the day.
What was the biggest giveaway before the proposal?
Anthony asking me to get my nails done and dress nicely every day, purchasing our flight for an intimate couple’s trip, ironing his shirt and pants, and acting super tense at the Bellagio fountain while trying to act completely normal. The man was sweating bullets in Las Vegas, but it ended with a ring, amazing food, and a huge entourage behind us—so I’d say it was a total success!
Where are you headed for your honeymoon?
Anywhere with gorgeous beaches! Maybe Thailand, a bit of Korea or Taiwan.
How do you handle being completely different people?
We call it “Yin and Yang,” but honestly, it just means we are two puzzle pieces that fit together. I bring the vision, he brings the rock-solid patience, and together we somehow manage to keep each other sane.
What is the secret ingredient to surviving long road trips together?
Endless car chats, zero awkward silence, and an unspoken agreement that whoever is in the passenger seat is in charge of snacks and navigation.
